• Product Description
William Kentridge (*1955) produced an etching entitled Lexicon (Parade) exclusively for the Mudam. It was printed on translucent paper and mounted on cotton burlap, a technique that clearly highlights every minute detail. The work is part of a five-part series of etchings that relate to a series of bronze sculptures entitled Cursive.

Kentridge views the sculptures as a visual lexicon; they are glyphs that are arranged to construct sculptural sentences or rearranged to  alter their meaning. The transformation of works and the constant development of creative processes is typical of Kentridge’s way of working. Here, for example, he transfers the sculptural into the language of etching.
