For four decades,
Jean-Marie Biwer has been developing a body of work in which he shares his
minute observations of the world around him, from his immediate surroundings –
the Ardennes countryside in the
north of Luxembourg, where he lives and works – to contemporary society at large. Published on the occasion of the
artist’s exhibition at
Mudam Luxembourg in 2020, this book looks at his production since 2005, informed by his ongoing
research on landscape, nature and everyday life. The
richly illustrated publication brings together texts by
Claude Moyen and René Kockelkorn as well as an extensive interview with the artist.
