The four sketches for Wall Formations from the 1980s reproduced in their original dimensions in this limited edition brochure have been generously provided by the Franz Erhard Walther Foundation. In these sketches, Walther ran formal variations. Coming from the Foundation’s archives these unpublished documents show the creative process that led to this series of sculptural pieces of intense colours. In this Art Freak edition, the programme for young people at Mudam, they acquire a very special importance: a true repertoire of Walther’s formal research, they connect the work of an artist who has a lasting influence on contemporary art to the practice of young artists at the beginning of their careers.
