This artist book presents a selection of watercolours on paper from among five series conceived by Laure Tixier from 1996 to 2007. These coloured dreamlike sequences on the theme of habitat, architecture and urbanism, that at times borrow from their codes of representation, invite us to seize the latent content of the great architectural utopias, the fantasy and multiplicity of the models that preside over every utopian project.
The technique of pencil and watercolour, the format and choice of a rigid cover, evoke the notebooks of drawings and plans by the architect surveyors of the 19th century.
